Abstract
This study aims to investigate the reality of rural entrepreneurship in Germany, and what unique hurdles and opportunities it presents. The objective is to grasp what factors play into the success of rural entrepreneurs and to find ways to help them grow and stay sustainable. The study looks at a wide range of sources, including existing literature, government and financial institution reports, and relevant case studies. The findings suggest that while rural entrepreneurs are often resourceful and well-connected within their communities, they encounter challenges like difficulty accessing funding, lacking infrastructure, and changes in demographics. Despite these obstacles, there are positive signs, like the beneficial effects of government support programs and the potential for digitalization to bring about significant changes. The recommendations that emerge from this research stress the importance of ongoing investment in rural infrastructure, improving access to financial support and venture capital, and offering specialized training programs to empower rural entrepreneurs. Additionally, building bridges between rural and urban environments, promoting digital literacy, and encouraging innovation in sectors like sustainable agriculture and ecotourism are seen as crucial steps to fully unlock the potential of rural entrepreneurship and ensure balanced development across Germany's regions.
