The paper aims to analyse a form of rural entrepreneurship based on innovative start-ups and its role in agricultural development. Rural entrepreneurship is not limited to traditional agricultural activities. Moreover, the case of specific innovative agricultural projects will be presented in the form of startups incubated in the AgriPrenium incubator. The aim is to understand the extent of these new forms of innovative entrepreneurial support which can contribute to agricultural and rural development in Algeria. Based on data provided from the Ministry, the National Chamber of Agriculture and the incubator, the analysis shows the positive outcomes of this emerging approach in Algeria
